C4L Webinar – Public vs. Private vs. Hybrid cloud models

C4L would like to extend an invite to our upcoming webinar, which will explore the variations between Public, Private and Hybrid cloud models, as well as the advantages of each.

Whilst many organisations are considering the adoption of a cloud computing strategy, the true definitions of cloud models are often used interchangeably, and incorrectly, by many organisations.

This webinar will uncover the true meaning of Public, Private and Hybrid cloud computing models, as well as providing some useful tips on considerations that should be made when assessing any of these approaches as a means of moving your business operations to the cloud.

Top cloud security tips every organisation should consider

At C4L we understand that the topic of cloud computing often raises a number of questions and issues surrounding security. As a result of this, we thought it useful to identify a few top security tips that every organisation should consider when making the transition to cloud computing…

- Ensure that you know the details and in-depth information about your provider’s security infrastructure. Can your provider tell you where your data is kept?

- Do not put private information in the cloud unless you intend to encrypt your information.

- It is advised that an equal share of responsibilities is split between your administrators and the cloud provider’s administrators. This guarantees that no one party has direct access across all security levels.

- Confirm that the cloud service provider you use has the necessary accreditations to meet security standards. It is important to note that International companies must certify that the provider has a European Safe Harbor accreditation alongside an ISO / IEC 27001.

- To guarantee a secure provider, it may be best to opt for a high-end or industry established supplier.

C4L would like to extend an invite to our upcoming webinar ‘How to secure your IT cloud’. The webinar is the second in C4L’s ongoing series entitled ‘Cloud from a business perspective’, and is designed to provide you with the understanding and guidance required when considering the security surrounding  virtualisation and cloud computing.

With so many uncertainties surrounding ‘the cloud’, we thought it would be useful to provide you the opportunity to learn a little bit more about cloud computing and virtualisation, and more specifically, how they could benefit your organisation.
