Raised Floor Starts Going in

The raised floor has started being installed at the Bournemouth collocation facility. This enables cold air to travel under the floor to the designated cold aisles as well as providing an area for cabling to be run in.

Electrical Work Continues On Bournemouth Data Centre Facility

The main electrical mains panels continue to be populated.

These components are vital the successful running of the facility and will allow us to deliver high capacity resilient power to customers.

Extractor Fan Installed At Bournemouth Data Centre Facility

An extractor fan has been installed at the Bournemouth Data centre which will vent the FM200 gas from the fire suppression system should it ever be needed.

This will allow the room to be made safe. Whilst FM200 gas is not extremely harmful to humans it’s not advisable to breathe it in so systems such as this should always be installed.

Bournemouth Data Centre Continues Progression

C4L’s Bournemouth data centre has continued its rapid progression, with the first of the trunking and electrical systems being installed.

Holes have also been created for the venting of FM200 Gas, and delivery of the Air Conditioning units.  Given that this is an office block, delivering heavy CRAC units was going to be problematic, hence a doorway was created.

First Whitewash at Bournemouth Colocation Site

The first layer of whitewash is being applied at the Bournemouth colocation facility.

Further layers of paint will be added in due course, as the transformation into a data centre takes shape.
