Windows have privacy film & solar guard material installed

Friday, November 27th, 2009

The build continues well with the windows having a layer of privacy film and solar guard material installed. This stops people seeing in and out and also ensures that we do not heat the room on hot days with intense sunlight. The lighting has almost been finished as well giving the room plenty of light during evening hours.

Extractor Fan Installed At Bournemouth Data Centre Facility

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

An extractor fan has been installed at the Bournemouth Data centre which will vent the FM200 gas from the fire suppression system should it ever be needed.

This will allow the room to be made safe. Whilst FM200 gas is not extremely harmful to humans it’s not advisable to breathe it in so systems such as this should always be installed.

Holes have also been created for the venting of FM200 Gas, and delivery of the Air Conditioning units.  Given that this is an office block, delivering heavy CRAC units was going to be problematic, hence a doorway was created.
